another one on E-Bay and I'll be returning the original one. Two of my

The other fault is simpler but might be more serious. While I was in
Portugal there was a heat wave and the temperature climbed to dg48
Celsius
(somewhere around 120 Fahrenheit). During this time the right channel
stopped working. I know for a fact that the headphone mini-jack has
become
faulty. I think the metal in the headphone jack expanded slightly in
the
heat and unfortunately didn't contract when it became cooler so that
the tip
of the headphone plug no longer makes contact. I can get the right
channel
back temporarily by pressing quite hard on the plug but it's not very
practical. My father-in-law opened up the machine slightly and says
the
socket for the headphone jack is enclosed and can't be got at. Does
this
mean that it cannot be repaired?

I am prepared to buy another machine on E-Bay or wherever if I have to
but
obviously having just purchased the one I have I would be really
pleased if
someone could give me some advice or an opinion.
