Date: Mon, 09 Aug 2004 11:33:25 +0200 I also had problem with this charging algorithm: I plugged my (may version) flashed recorder to my PC to watch a movie but I forgot to plug the DC power. It went out of batteries. When I plugged it back, I had to wait until it goes in charging mode. Then I could plug the usb back. Then every 15 minutes, it goes back off, surely because of this annoying charging algorithm stopping the charge. Result, I could not watch the movie. :-( . I forgot that I could switch back to the original archos firmware! But this clearly have to be corrected. Why does it wait for a minute before charging? Is it just for testing the battery level? If it measures less than 5v the charging should start immediately don't you think? Having an interactive session during the charge or during the usb would be nice.
