Can you send me a copy of text alloud? Is it a free ware product, or should
I purchase a license for it?

I make all my MP3 files of the folders individually using Text Aloud. You
can do a batch conversion with this program too. You make a txt file with
the words that you want read and use Text Aloud to convert them to MP3 using
the speech engine of your choice. Let me know if you need a copy of Text
Aloud. Perhaps you can take a small MP3 file and rename it: _DirName.talk
and copy it into a folder, and make sure that the TalkBox feature is
working. If it is, and you cannot make your folder dirname files, go ahead
and try it individually, or batch with Text Aloud. Glenn

For some reason I cannot get talkbox to work. everything seems to go fine
until I open the lame file. I enter the music directory and the lame
program starts. It looks like it installs fine. However, after lame is
finished (about 10 seconds) and I either click done or close it, it starts
up again. This time I do not have to enter the music directory. I end up
going throught the process again. It continues to finish and restart lame
(after closing) over and over in what seems an endless cycle. ( I did it for
ten or 15 tries and then gave up). I had to close the program with
ctrl+alt+delete to stop it from restarting. The archos still is not
talking(yes i did have talk when hovering on).
