does the backlight come on at all?

if it does and you want rid of it , I would buy it from you purely for
the backlight. Mine has broken but everything else works okay and i
can'f find a replacement. Archos won't sell me one and it will cost lots
to get repaired.

Obviously you can keep the drive! so at least you will get an extra
20Gig for your pc!
