Date: Wed, 18 Aug 2004 12:05:23 +0200 Hi Todd, I've similar problems with my unit. In my case the powersupply for the HD is broken. So just measure the motor- voltage on the 44pin ATA plug (I think it's pin (41 or 42). It has to be 5V. If it's there measure it again, when the HD is plugged in. If it's missing you have the same problem Oliver and I had On oliver's unit the soldering- points on the 40 pin- plug have been the problem. They've been broken and after resoldering the unit has been fine again. In my case Voltage brakes down, when the disk tries to spin up. I found the problem, but it still isn't fixed.
