Good UI design is hard, and we do not pretend we have the > ultimate model nailed down. Nothing specific worked out, but why are F2- and F3 -Keys virtually unused? They could be used to pop up some menu, to reduce the Item count (and Tree depth) in the F1-Menu. Has anyone already done a "Map" for the Menu structure? If not, I'll have to do it to see what could be done about the Menu structure. Well, of course my primary drive here is that I want to be able to delete the currently playing file both from the Disk (and the Playlist) without having to - enable follow file (really bothersome if you have a directory tree of mp3s and want to load a .cfg-File from the root or something...) - press "ON" - press "ON+Play", "Down", "Down", "Play", "Play" And to delete an entry from the Playlist you've got to - press F1, down, down, down, down, right, down, right, on+play, right To round it up, you have to dig deep trough the menu structure to access some nice and perhaps often needed functions... >> Anyways: I took some looks at the source but didn't exactly find >> where I'd have to butcher around to get to my goals, so: Are there >> any Pointers? > > The mp3 files are loaded by firmware/mpeg.c, specifically new_file(). > It currently works as you guessed: It will not let you skip back over > a missing file. A patch is welcome. Hmmm, I'll definately take a look and perhaps even a stab at it. I have to say though that I'm no experienced programmer... ;) bye Christian _______________________________________________ http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockbox Received on 2004-10-08 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
