(See apps/tree.c) What you see in tree.c is the code that calls shutdown_screen() if OFF is pressed twice, not held. Are you experiencing a spinup when you hold the OFF key? If you do, it is probably not because of the new shutdown code. My theory is that you have resumed playback and the OFF down event sends you to the browser (for the first time), which tries to read the root dir. The clean shutdown is NOT started by a long OFF press on the V1 recorder.
