If homemade RVF video didn't really work for you so far, this might be the
cure:
Jens helped my to find a bug that affected videos with audio sample rates
lower than 32kHz. It was complete garbage with the DirectShow filter
"RvfMux.ax", versus with the command line tool "rvfmux.exe" audio ran apart
from video within the file and was quickly out of reach.

No need for reinstall, just replace the .ax and the .exe file.
