Actually scrap that last question - it's stupid!
A better question would be "is it possible..." which i'm sure it is, as mp3 decoding is done in software. Am I right?

So the iRiver H140 is physically different from the H120?

I assumed they were the same except for HD.


I havn't seen the device yet (my brother is at sea), so it is much smaller than the Archos FMR, due to it's smaller

HD size?


I might take it off my brothers hands anyway, it may be fun programming some plugins for a 120Hz CPU! decent speed plasma here we come!


another question, regarding Rockbox and iRiver: Will _all_ functionality be ported? i.e. greyscale?

It's impossible, I'm afraid. The 40G drive is much thicker than the 20G and will not fit in an Iriver H120.
