Not at all. I can't believe people inconvenience themselves to allegedly
baby $4 worth of batteries! Even if I knew that my jukebox would kill its
batteries in 6 months (or whatever) if I left it plugged in all the time,
I'd still do it because that's what is convenient. When the batteries
puke I'll spend another $4 or so and replace them.

Leaving a JBR plugged in all the time does NOT harm the batteries. I have
had a JBR running continuously for over a year in my restaurant playing
background music. I installed some old 1400 mah batteries so as not to
waste my better ones. This unit is still perking along. The batteries
are still good enough to run the unit when it is connected to my computer
for music installs or shuffling.
