to complete with a few tools:
http://www.id3-tagit.de/english/ is able to retag mp3's if you got all
files of one album in one directory. I'll query freeDB to try to
recognize the tracks, then repair the id3-tags. It's a great tool for
big tagging-jobs as well.

winamp with his new media library has become a nice mass-tagger as
well. In standart-configuration, it tries to guess artist, trackname,
album name and so on as you add the files to the libary. later on,
you're fast to search in all ways around.
