- it's againts specifications of usb, so very few devices only have
it, so Usb A-A-cables are expensive when you want to buy one. (I got
about half a dozen of unused A-B-Cables at home...)
- if you've been invited to a friends house with the words "could you
get some music?", be sure you also get the cable to the music, he most
probably won't have. If it was Usb-B, you could help yourself by
stealing the cable to any other usual usb-device he has (printer,
scanner, hub, ...)
- if your little sister takes that A-A- cable and plays the old game
"why can't misses fork never be married to mister power socket" with
you both computers, you will notice that some usb-controllers don't
like that. Some may crash your computer, some may be grilled. In a
computer, you can replace or add any usb-controller with low budget,
but on a notebook, this gets either annoying (pcmcia-usc-card) or
expensive (replacing motherboard)
- PLUS: I accuse the fact it's a usb-A that everybody asks if rockbox
could be image tank some day with the archos hardware. (I count not
less that 5 such feature requests.)

did I forget one of the hardest arguments ?
