I have many many audio cds here and i want to get an overview again on my cds. does anyone know something? I have the following OSs: Windows XP, Linux (text console) Hi Simon i use cdex (its also german) http://www.zdnet.de/downloads/prg/x/l/000SXL-wc.html its so simple, just install or even copy it to hdd and if you have internet it calls the freedb database if you insert your disk and rename all tracks and set ID3 tags. Now you put grab to mp3 and the directory structure will be created with all MP3's in it. If you want to do this offline, grab http://ftp.leo.org/pub/freedb/freedb-win-20050104.rar (270 megabyte!) This is the whole database with nearly all ever released disks! unpack this in the cdex/cddb folder and now you can inser a cd, the program looks in the local cddb, fills the strings and you can gram the whole cd as mp3 or whatever to hdd. there are other solutions around which uses the remote/local database.
