Because manufacturers are constantly launching new models and
discontinuing old ones. So by the time the Rockbox port is finished,
you can't buy the player any more.

The iRiver Rockbox port currently runs equally as well on the H120 and
H140. As far as I know, they are identical apart from the physical case
 and the hard drive model.
