First, I apologize for making this seem like some form of spam. This
was truly not what was intended. I'm not a marketer; I'm a 19 year
old who works in a library.

The only information the plugin grabs is the artist and title of each
song that you listen to more than 50% of the way through. It then
accumulates this data, and sends it to the Audioscrobbler database.

I can assure you myself that subscribing to AS isn't like most places.
For one thing, your email isn't even required to sign up. That's
right; you give a username, and a password, and that's it. Even if
you do give them an email, (which, I repeat, is completely optional)
it is only used for sending you notifications if someone sends you a
Private Message or some such. Even that much can be turned off.

Again, I apologize for making this seem like a form of marketing, but
Audioscrobbler is not a pay service. It is completely free. It's
only as invasive as listening to what you listen to, and that data is
only used to make charts. For an example, you can feel free to visit
my page at <http://www.audioscrobbler.com/user/kerobaros>.

If you, or anyone else here, is not interested, I assure you, I
understand. Barring any more questions being asked, consider this my
last message regarding Audioscrobbler. I just thought it would be
mildly interesting finding out what type of music most Rockbox users
listen to.

Good travels.

-Matt
