Date: Sun, 3 Apr 2005 17:15:55 -0400 USB 1.1 devices are ALWAYS recognizable with USB 2.0 devices, assuming that everything else is working. That's why USB 2.0 is called backwards compatible. Are you plugging the Archos units into the same port? Sometimes some USB ports on a computer (Front or Side are most common for this problem) do not automatically recognize a device plugged into them. If you plug the Archos units into the same port, you are guaranteed to know the port works perfectly. -----Original Message----- From: rockbox-bounces_at_cool.haxx.se [mailto:rockbox-bounces_at_cool.haxx.se] On Behalf Of Rocker Sent: Sunday, April 03, 2005 1:39 PM To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se Subject: V1 drivers Hello, My new PC is now up and running. XP Pro recognized my FMR with no problems. However, when I plugged in my recorder 15 nothing happened. I have USB 2.0 backwards compatible with USB 1.1. So, do I need to install the drivers for my recorder 15? if so, can you please tell me the correct path to run the WinZip install to. Or, can I not run the FMR and the Recorder 15 on this machine without installing a separate USB 1.1 card? BTW: My previous Dell had both USB 1.1 & 2.0 ports and both Archos units were recognized. Thanks in advance...rocker _______________________________________________ http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockbox _______________________________________________ http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockbox Received on 2005-04-03 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
