But all I found on Ebay was - for my sake- too expencive. Even broken units cost (without a HD) cost about 30€ (40$) and a simple JBR6 where I even have to replace the HD costs 90€ (120$) which I find too much since i can get a brandnew Gmini120 for 180€ (240$). So I think I'll go for a Gmini and wait until Rockbox will be available for the Gmini (perhaps I'll try to help the guys a little bit if possible) Cheers, Markus > <snigger> > > fw little iw ...my wild guess is that when the circuit blew, you _damaged_ > something 'near-by' (ie a transistor/resistor) This may be causing just > enough overload to the main device to trigger it's repeated demise ...I am > sure that the right amount of work may track down the fault - but in > honesy > *I* would give up about here or you could be chasing dead components > around > for ever on a cheap-to-replace device. > > Replacement? ebay and another little mp3-only archos unit ...at least > until > Rockbox is dusted off for the new super colour all-codec units in the > pipeline. > > Sorry, not words of encouragement from me :( ...but, as is my way, the > truth as I believe it to be. > > BC > > At 16:01 03/04/2005, you wrote: > >Its next to the carburetor. > > > >On Sun, 03 Apr 2005 12:57:18 +0100, Markus Grebenstein > ><sassodimorte_at_gmx.de> wrote: > > > >>No. Can you tell me where it is located or how to find it? > >> > >>Thanks a lot! > >> > >> > >>On Sun, 03 Apr 2005 01:35:36 +0100 > >>"nobby nobbs" <nobbynobbs_at_gmail.com> wrote: > >> > >>>have you checked the alternator? :P > >>> > >>>On Sun, 03 Apr 2005 01:23:01 +0100, Markus Grebenstein > >>><sassodimorte_at_gmx.de> wrote: > >>> > >>> > Hi guys, > >>> > > >>> > my JBS 20 is gone second time! > >>> > > >>> > Again the DC- regulator of the charging circuit is blown just one > weak > >>> > after replacement! > >>> > > >>> > Now I'm wondering if anybody has an idea what might be wrong. > >>> > > >>> > I' didn't change polarity etc. on the DC- Adapter or anything else. > >>> > > >>> > Can any problem with the (original) Harddisk cause this problem? > >>> > > >>> > Thanks a lot in advance for your advice! > >>> > > >>> > Cheers, > >>> > > >>> > Markus > >>> > _______________________________________________ > >>> > http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockbox > >>> > >>> > >>> > >>>-- > >>>Using Opera's revolutionary e-mail client: http://www.opera.com/mail/ > >>>_______________________________________________ > >>>http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockbox > >>_______________________________________________ > >>http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockbox > > > > > > > >-- > >Using Opera's revolutionary e-mail client: http://www.opera.com/mail/ > >_______________________________________________ > >http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockbox > > _______________________________________________ > http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockbox > -- Markus Grebenstein Adalbertstraße 88 80799 München Tel.. 089/62509834 Fax.: 089/1488-269718 _______________________________________________ http://cool.haxx.se/mailman/listinfo/rockboxReceived on 2005-04-04 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
