It's coming out the same as an older version of bootloader.bin that I
built manually with mkboot+friends here.

vs
62a6462425b12691a3dad75364512e92 us.hex
(both of those are version 1.65US-based.
Perhaps it should let you specify an optional bootloader.bin to use?
