Date: Mon, 6 Jun 2005 17:07:40 +0200 (MEST) It could be the batteries (try it with some others) or it could be the problem that I had, too: If you choose to "protect" the drive with the driver from Hitachi, then the firmware isn't able to read from the disk because of the password. What model do you have and who's the disk's vendor?
