Rockbox mail archiveSubject: I hate that red LED...I hate that red LED...
From: Bradley Alexander <storm_at_tux.org>
Date: Thu, 9 Jun 2005 22:50:04 -0400 I have an original-style (blue bumper) JB Recorder 20. I was playing it on my way home from work, and decided to change directories. Hit stop, and tried to scroll back to the right directory. The red LED came on solid. The road was a little bumpy, so I thought it might have hung the hard drive. I did what I always do...Power off, wait for drive to spin down, power back on. This time, the Rockbox intro screen came up, and the red LED came on solid. Hmmm. Had I drained the battery already? (I did use the USB without external power at work to copy a couple of songs from the laptop, but it was on USB no more than a minute.) Got it home, tried hooking it up to power, powered up, same solid red LED. Tried attaching USB to my Linux laptop, and could not find a device attached. On the Archos, (you guessed it) Rockbox splash screen and solid red LED. When I power it up, it sounds like the drive is spinning up, and spinning down when I power down, what could the problem be?
