Subject: playback initialization (still)

playback initialization (still)

Hi everyone,

I still experience the very annoying bug of having to boot the iRiver fw
before I can get any playback on Rockbox. If i just boot straight into
Rockbox I can browse files but can't play them. I don't even get any
WPS, just a blank screen. Every time I turn on my ihp-120 I have to
first boot the iRiver fw, turn off, and imediately boot Rockbox (btw,
when I do it this way I get a reassuring "thumb" on the headphones when
Rockbox boots, otherwise just silence).

I suspect there is some audio initialization that is not being done
correctly but that this is only aparent in some batch of players.

Linus has replied that I can't reproduce this on his H140, but what
about other people? I wanted to figure out if there is a pattern here,
i.e. is it only ihp-120s or is it player bought in specific batch?

Mine is a iHP-120, bought about 1.5 years ago in the UK, barcode
503340040300220. I'm using fw 1.65US patched with booloader 2.

My idea to collect data from people who experience this problem to try
to identify what causes it and possibly correct it.

Thanks,

Pedro
