Would it be accessible for the blind? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mickey Quenzer" <mickeyqu_at_comcast.net> To: <blindtech_at_yahoogroups.com> Sent: Wednesday, June 15, 2005 6:19 PM Subject: Re: Rockbox 512mb mp3 player Hi: I went to the page, and looked at the description. It is confusing. It says that there is a built in mike, but in the description, the recording field says "NO" Has anyone baught this item? Does it record or not? Is there a similar item with flash memory cards? ******* MQ ******* ******* Home Page: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/mickeyqu ******* ******* SkypeT - instigater7724******* ----- Original Message ----- From: Dave Bond To: blindtech_at_yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, June 15, 2005 12:04 PM Subject: Rockbox 512mb mp3 player I found this player at Wal-mart.com and one of the listed features states it has a "voice operating system." There are many manufactureres of mp3 players, but on the Wal-mart page it appears Rockbox is one of them. I thought they just made the firmware/voice operating system. Here is the link to the page if someone cares to help explain this a little better: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=3663061#long_descr For the price of $118, I would be tempted to buy this. It appears to me that some of the players are more expensive because of their video/graphic capability, and also their storage. This Rockbox player is a 512 mb player, and I wonder if this is satisfactory. Many thanks to anyone who can provide some additional help.
