says that there is a built in mike, but in the description, the recording
field says "NO"

Has anyone baught this item? Does it record or not?

Is there a similar item with flash memory cards?

  I found this player at Wal-mart.com and one of the listed features states
it has a "voice operating system." There are many manufactureres of mp3
players, but on the Wal-mart page it appears Rockbox is one of them. I
thought they just made the firmware/voice operating system. Here is the

  For the price of $118, I would be tempted to buy this. It appears to me
that some of the players are more expensive because of their video/graphic
capability, and also their storage. This Rockbox player is a 512 mb player,
and I wonder if this is satisfactory. Many thanks to anyone who can provide
some additional help.
