RE: Fw: Rockbox 512mb mp3 player

Hi, Sarai.
As I said on Blindtech, this player is made by ROC digital
        http://www.roc-digital.com
and has nothing to do with rockbox, the firmware. In fact, the only
relation is that the name sounds the same (it's not spelled the same, with
the name of the player lacking the K). There is no reason to believe that
the player will spell files or folders, and no reason to think that it will
read menus. Again, the company has a phone number on its site, and you can
call and check whether it speaks any information. As I said, though, I'd be
shocked if it did, since this is not mentioned either on the site or in the
manual so far as I can see.
        Aman

So its not the same software? If some one were to buy it, it wouldn't speak
the names and directories like Rockbox does on the archos? I need to know
because that is missleading and several blind people are interested in it
because they think it has to do with Rockbox.

This product has nothing to do with the rockbox open source firmware
project.
