Not yet, the java version of songdb will generate a proper database that
it can work with, the perl version needs hashing added before it will
work, also, it might need some changes to have all music files listed in
the fileentry part of the database, regardless of whether they're tagged
or not. the java version already does this.
Aside from that, the database is automatically generated when a tag
database is present, and is self-repairing using the file hashes
(which is why it can't work without proper hashes)
Only playcount works for now, and the searchengine is able to use this
information in searches.
