worked for me. V1 with 60Gb disk.
had to F1 boot into the head cvs rockbox code, in order to be able to
run the matching .rocks/firmware_flash which then picked up the .bin in
the root dir fine.
I've tested the F1 boot with USB and without, both fine. I can't test
charging until I get home, but the signs are good.
