Date: Sun, 25 Sep 2005 10:40:04 -0500 I know the people who do use their I Pods use the remote control to access it, but I don't want to cary one around. When Dad went to buy my Archos for my Birth Day, the salesman told him that the Ipods weren't as good as people made them out to be. The only thing I really liked about them besides the 60 GB of Hard drive space was the physical size of the player. I think my Archos is to big. The next player that I get I want to have a Radio on it so I can stop carrying my MP3 player and my Walkman on a trip. -----Original Message----- From: rockbox-bounces_at_cool.haxx.se [mailto:rockbox-bounces_at_cool.haxx.se] On Behalf Of Hamish Mackenzie Sent: Sunday, September 25, 2005 2:33 AM To: Rockbox Subject: RE: Why not iPod? Hi Sarah Before you start jumping up and down remember that the iPod has a distinct lack of buttons as compared to the other players and has those nasty panels you just drag your finger over to fast forward etc. I am blind and remember fiddling about with one and there is no way known to man, or woman to avoid any sexist comments, that I would want to own one. Also I am currently using the iriver H340 fairly successfully without speech but cant wait for rockbox cheers Hamish -----Original Message----- From: rockbox-bounces_at_cool.haxx.se [mailto:rockbox-bounces_at_cool.haxx.se] On Behalf Of Jonas H. Its bad to say the least! If Rockbox were to run on iPods, it wouldn't need iTunes. You'd simply use it as a drive, just like Archos devices are used now. -- Jonas H rasher(at)rasher(dot)dk -- no .sig todayReceived on 2005-09-25 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
