My guess is either you have line-in, rather than mic, or you have the volume
down while recording.
That is the gain which you adjust while in the recording window, with either
an up-arrow, or a right-arrow, many times.
I don't remember right now which is the gain, up or right.

Yes I do and I have this one saved but to be honest the answers didn't
help because I still can't record. I've played with every option that is
under the recording settings.
