In my work car, I have a CD player, so I have to have it there, and
sometimes I transmit from my computer to a radio around the house.
I have also used mine with a wireless RF keyboard, since I don't need the
screen.

May I be curious enough to ask what people use these transmitters for?

At home, I plug direct. In the car I use a tape adaptor. I can't think of
any other places!?
