Date: Fri, 18 Nov 2005 04:23:48 +0000 Recently my Archos Jukebox v1 started playing up quite seriously. Soon after, I noticed that it was not holding a charge. Being that I anticipated this when I purchased the unit, I realised my batteries are a couple of years old and after reading this: http://www.imaging-resource.com/ACCS/BATTS/BATTS.HTM I popped down to my local branch of Dixons (well, actually it was in the next town across, but I was there for an interview anyway) and purchased some Energizer 2500 mAh batteries with a seperate-cell charger which can be either mains or car-lighter powered for £25 (not bad for an off-the-shelf price) I wouldn't ike to guess what playback time I am getting from them, but it must be nearly 20hrs of flawless playback. My MP3 collection is all at 160Kbps, so 128K would get more time and 192 would get respectively less. The charger is rated second only to a Maha charger (allegedly the best) and the batteries (although the 2500's have not been specifically tested yet) are level pegging with PowerEx as being the best available. Information for you. BC Received on 2005-11-18 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
