Date: Tue, 20 Dec 2005 23:26:25 -0000 I've just recieved my iriver H340. I'm very impressed as to how small it is - especially compared to my Archos FM Recorder which is huge by comparison. I understand the sound quality is far superior to the Arcos as well. I've had a look at the instructions for manually installing the Rockbox firmware for the iriver H340. There are four or five choices for this model. H320 and H340 INT - 1.28k H320 and H340 INT - 1.28eu H320 and H340 INT - 1.29k H320 and H340 INT - 1.29eu H320 and H340 INT - 1.29j table end Which one do I download? Do I need to know What the letters after the firmware mean? Finally, will I find the iriver firmware (h300.hex) on the site or do I somehow need to extract it from my player? Actually I've just been reading Christi's post on the Rockbox Utility. Am I right in thinking that using it would solve all the above questions for me by selecting the correct firmware automatically? Much thanks in advance.
