I've noticed that cold weather does require a fresher set of cells
before the drive will initiate spin. I have to unplug/replug it a few
times until it goes into a "charging while off" mode. I let the cells
charge a few minutes that way and then it will start up. I'm using a
40GB Travelstar in a upgraded V1 JB6000
