my first impression about Rockbox and the h340

Just installed Rockbox on my h340 this afternoon.

So far my impressions are these :

Playback work wel with mp3, except a small glitch when navigating from mp3 to another mp3.

File name and directory spelling is a bit buggy, some letters are not spoken it seems, I use the AT&T Charles file.
also rockbox spell the name of the file while playing it, I mean when i press the navi button on a file to play it or the left / right button to change mp3 file.
A bit borring.

when i press stop on a playing file, rockbox return to and spell the first music file on the directory , maybe a setting I have not changed, but on my Archoses it
is spelling the file I was just playing when I press stop.

the radio fonction seems to wok fine for selecting stations. I don't know how to use the presets there or if one can already record the radio.

well. speaking about record, this is where I actually have much trouble.

If I enter the record screen all is fine.
then, I press the navi key to actually start to record.

Since I'm blind I don't know if it actually stars, I never hear the disk spin down so I'm a bit spektical.

but when i presss the stop button to exit, the problem begin.

I mean my h340 simply seems to be switched off and no way to restart it again, no even when I plug the USB cable or put the player on the charge.
I really have to press the reset button with a Braille stilus , then it can start it again and it peacefuly restart !

I also had a rockbox crash once, but I can't exactly ermember when.
well, the hard drive did not stop and any button have the desired effect.
again my stilus was very useful to press the reset button to have the h340 shut itself down and I was able to restart it as usual.

ok. that was my impressions so far. I'm using today's 21/01/06 dayly build.
