I've no idea. But I don't think you could complain if Apple said that Rockbox invalidated your warranty. If your ipod develops an intermittent fault, then you can try to restore it to the factory condition using Apple's iPod Restorer utility. But that assumes you can still access the hard disk from your PC. As a comparison, I had an Apple iBook that I had installed Linux onto. This needed (twice) to go back to Apple for repair and neither time did the fact that Linux (and only Linux) was installed cause any problem. In fact, my Linux installation was intact and working when the iBook was returned. I would be curious to know if any manufacturer has ever refused to service a player because Rockbox is installed.
