Date: Thu, 26 Jan 2006 12:52:56 +1000 G'day one and all, While this doesn't address Hamish's questions I thought I'd respond to this thread with a suggestion that a good friend put to me a few days back. Hamish old son I do apologise for hijacking your thread! Anyway Dave T's suggestion... When you press the button to start the recording perhaps there could be a single beep/tone to indicate that recording is about to start. When you stop the recording a double beep/tone could be played to signal that recording has finished. While this works to give feedback on the commencement and edning of a recoridng it doesn't, I guess, provide feedback during the recording session itself. From memory I've seen postings to the list on this specific topic relating to determining if the player is recording and the reasonings as to why it isn't possible to implement some sort of functionality to monitor the recording state, etc. BTW, the RB crew deserves praise beyond mere words for the work they have done especially in making the player accessible to those with sight impairments. cheers.
