Do you mean a real little voice synth like say a text to speech engine? Or,
the MP3 clip types using a SAPI voice. I'm spoiled by some of the product
Dev's like Jenn's have put out. No Sam Please. I beg of you...nNo SAM! !
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! !

I think the dev that knocks up a reasonable voice synth will be the hero of
the hour.

Food for thought...

If voice were enabled, then, at boot, rockbox could say "boot complete" or
<whatever>.
If that sample were "Powered by <sound-synth>" or similar, would one of the
voice synth companies consider that to be sufficient advertising in
exchange for allowing us to distribute voice fonts made by their
software. Not free. Not pay. Just good cost effective publicity!

I'm sure the blind people would happily hassle their repsective synth
companies to get one interested, and then Zagor can take over from there to
satisfyhis legal requirements?

Just something to think about is all.
