From the Font Of Internet Knowledge: <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battery_%28electricity%29> "In science and technology, a battery is a device that stores energy and makes it available in an electrical form. Batteries consist of electrochemical devices such as one or more galvanic cells (or, more recently, fuel cells)." The Recorder V1 thus uses four AA cells (almost universally mis-referred to as "batteries"), but the Archos Multimedia would have a battery. I'm not aware of any English naming distinction between rechargeable and one-use batteries/cells. gvb Received on 2006-02-06 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
