You get voice feedback in the rockbox info item -- but it doesn't update
unless you go into the debug menu and force the machine to do a disc scan.

Where is the place a blind user get's the free amount voiced at the moment ?
Maybe the recalc/recount should be initiated on keypress here as well.

If there is no other place than the debug-menu, then of course, this all is
pointless :-)
