Could it be you have a faulty unit (irrespective of the software running on it)? Alternatively, if the iriver firmware behaves just fine, and only rockbox seems to exhibit faults, have you tried running Scandisk on the disk (when connected to a PC)? Rockbox stores its settings on the hard drive whereas the iriver firmware stores its settings in prom - if the disk is faulty then that might explain why rockbox fails to store its settings correctly Also - just for reference - which version of rockbox (and which version of the rockbox bootloader) are you using? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rob Powell" <rob_at_rinty.plus.com> To: "Rockbox development" <rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se> Sent: Wednesday, March 15, 2006 9:25 AM Subject: strange "bug" with H340 > Hi all, > > I've installed RB on my new H340, and was happily listening last night, > when > the battery died.
