Regarding the question of whether the H340 works well with Rockbox - oh my
goodness, YES! I've had mine for around 6 months now, 5 of which I've had
Rockbox installed on it.

The original firmware, while still needed for things such as USB OTG, is so
much less refined than Rockbox.

If you REALLY want Rockbox to kick butt on the H300 series, download
Needleboy's Optimized build from this site:

I've got mine setup with an excellent WPS (While Playing Screen) called
iCatcher, which displays album art (100x100 bmp) if present for every song,
and displays every bit of information you could ever want to see about the
track, plus displays the next track coming up. Obviously the main benefits
I'm describing here are for sighted users...

Anyway, YES, it works beautifully. I'll always ensure that if I ever need to
buy another MP3 player in the future, that it is compatible with Rockbox.

BTW, I did anyone see the article on Rockbox/iPod on Slashdot... Rockbox is
famous! ;o)
