That's a different thing than what Brandon asked; the file clip
/ spelling is not supposed to be voiced again when selecting the
file. For some reason that is what happens though, this is a bug.

(This bug _might_ actually be a bug in the talk module which was
just shadowed on archos because the archos cannot talk and play
music at the same time.)


Personally I think that voice-over is better than pausing, but
then I'm not using voice for menus that often. I mainly use
directory voicing for browsing in the car.
