I just have a question about the iAudio X5. I got it today an dverified
that it can play MP3 files with the original firmware. I copied the rockbox
bootloader to the Firmware folder on the drive, unzipped a daily build to
the device and added the voice file. I unplugged the USB cable and plugged
in the charger. I heard a bit of disk activity. Now, when I turn on the
player I hear the usual disk activity and then nothing. I hold down play
for the main menu and nothing happens. I press the keys for moving and
opening folders and hear no disk activity. When I hold the power switch,
after several seconds I hear the player turn off. Why isn't Rockbox working
correctly? :-
