Subject: Hard drive in H340 gone?
today I copied some files over to an XP-Machine and the USB-connection to
my H340 locked up. I had to pull it out... Usually I don't use
Windows... I should have known better :-(
Now the player seems to be screwed. When booting Rockbox it comes up
just fine but going through directories it needs a lot of time and the
hard drive makes noises as doing lots of retries/rereads.
IRiver firmware comes up with 0 files/0 directories and chinese
characters in the display.

There are differences between boot sector and its backup.

The last line gives me a hard time. Is my hard drive dying...?
Does anybody have any idea what's going on?
Thanks in advance
