Are there any plans to voice the individual bands under "simple equalizer settings", even if they are simply labeled band 1, band 2, etc.? While the values do speak numerically, (which is wonderful), I still find myself having to actually go into each band and set the values to something different initially so I can ascertain where I am; navigating with the iPod's touchwheel isn't a big deal when there is speech corresponding with its movement to tell me where I am, however in the case of the EQ settings, I find myself having to guess and can't confirm where I am until I actually hit right arrow on one of the bands and check its numeric value. It would be fairly easy to voice all 5 bands, though I suspect all the voices would need to be recreated; still, it would be well worth it. This is one of the few drawbacks to the iPod's current operation, since a blind user can actually set the EQ the way they prefer to, it's just difficult to orient in that menu with no speech whatsoever. On the Iriver, it isn't as big a deal because down-arrowing from one EQ band to the next can be done by clicking on an actual physical button, but when you're turning the wheel without any feedback as to where you are, it can be challenging until you get used to it. Still, I mess it up and it takes me a while to get it where I like it; thank God for the configs so I don't have to reset it each time... Just an idea...
