Fermware questions

Hi, I am a fairly new user of the rockbox firmware. I
own a Iriver 140. I am having a few problems that have probably been
discussed on this lists already but any help would be appreciated.
I installed what I guess was the latest firmware with the Rockbox
utility program. I'm also using the Eloquence voice file. I was having
problems with some of the menus not speaking when pressing the stop/off
button, however, when turning off resume on start, this seems to be
resolved. Now I am having trouble with some of the mp3 files seeming
like they are almost skipping or speeding up in some areas. I never had
this problem when I was using the Iriver 120. Also this version of the
firmware seems to lock up a lot if I press pause more than once. Has
there been any work in these areas and if so how do you know when the
firmware has been updated? Lastly, can someone tell me the best way to
learn how to use the recorder feature of the iriver 140? Thank you very
much for any help in these areas and I look forward to reading posts
from this list.

Regards Tony
