As for installing daily builds, you unzip them to your iPod, using whatever letter has been assigned to the iPod by Windows Explorer. Boot to the Apple firmware before doing this or transferring any files to or from the iPod, as it dramatically increases the transfer speed. As for switching tracks, if it's in the same album, I just press the Forward or Back button lightly as many times as needed. If I want to go to a different album, I press Play/Pause for about 2 seconds; the track stops, and I'm in the file browser. Then I can move wherever I want and still have speech. I'm not sure what CVS means. As for daily builds, I look at the CVS history on the main Rockbox.org page to see whether it looks like anything likely to improve iPod performance has been done lately. If so, I install the latest daily build. If not, I don't. Of course, I'm no expert, so it may be that I don't always guess correctly about whether improvements have been made, but I do my best. Good luck. Cheers, Anna Received on 2006-07-12 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
