Subject: Re: Battery level on Ipods.

Re: Battery level on Ipods.

Cons:
-No video--yet
-No Audible books--probably will never happen
-No DRM'd files from iTunes--probably will never happen
-Will not read the iTunes database
-More complicated interface than Apple's UI
-USB support is flaky--will be fixed as soon as the USB stuff is
reverse-engineered

Pros:
-Can play MP3, OGG Vorbis and FLAC well if they are at a low enough bitrate
-Has voice menus (I have never used them myself, but we have blind users
now)
-It's open-source! If it's broken, you have the means to fix it! Also, we
can write our own plugins for different things.

I'm sure I've missed a bunch and this will start a huge debate + flood of
emails, but these are the pros and cons from my point of view.
