Have done so in hostel dorms with snoring people, but generally, I
plug the thing into my amp, and it tends to be charging in its cradle
most nights anyway.

My H340's clock is quite reasonable; perhaps it drifts a few minutes
every month if it doesn't get much use, but on the whole is fine.
