Date: Fri, 29 Sep 2006 11:09:59 -0500 I have to have Rockbox because I'm blind. I just don't want to spend the money, and it not work. I saw on the instructions that the Ipod has to be fat 32 and for Windows, as well as in disk mode. How do you know that your buying an ipod for Windows? How do you get it in disk mode? Have blind people been able to install Rockbox independently? It looks complicated. > ----- Original Message ----- >From: Damian Gerow <dgerow_at_afflictions.org >To: Rockbox <rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se >Date: Fri, 29 Sep 2006 14:39:29 +0100 >Subject: Re: FYI Ipod 60 gb >Jack Zhou wrote: >> I don't think there are any differences other than the increased hard >> drive space. >I've been poking into this, because the battery life expectations when >playing video are substantially different between the 60GB 5G and the >80GB 5.1G: > <http://ipodbatteryfaq.com/ipodbatteryandpower.html >Though it /looks/ like it's still the same hardware, I suspect (short of >some unbelievably hefty firmware optimizations) there are some hardware >differences between the two.
