Hi Anna

Thanks for this but I might want to listen to the Nano whilst charging so I need to know what key this is if anyone else knows. I think if it works as my IRiver did that I can be playing a file and then press the mystery key and plug in the charger and I can still listen.

If anyone can tell me the key that would be great.

  When I want to charge my Nano from a charger, I switch to the Apple firmware first. To do this, hold down the Menu (top) key for about ten seconds.

  There is a way to charge it from a charger without going to the Apple firmware, but I believe it involves holding a key while plugging the Nano in, which seems harder than switching to the Apple firmware.
