Also an USB port can be a "computer" port (delivers 100mA) or a "hub" port (delivers 500 mA). In the iRiver firmware you can select what type of port you are connecting to. Having said this, charging over USB is really slow (especially using 100mA). You'd better use the supplied power adapter.
